Dr. Amy R. Jeffries
Dr. Amy Jeffries is a 2000 graduate of Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. She finished her BS degree in Biology/Pre-medicine from Georgia Southern University in 1995. Dr. Jeffries practices primary care optometry which includes the diagnosis and management of eye diseases such as glaucoma, macula degeneration, cataracts, and retinopathy due to diabetes and hypertension.
Dr. Jeffries also co-manages LASIK and cataract patients with ophthalmologists. She has 21 years experience in the optical industry having previously managed an optical practice and operated an optical laboratory prior to finishing her optometric degree. Dr. Jeffries is a skilled refractionist and contact lens specialist.
Dr. Jeffries maintains her degree by completing a minimum of 18 hours of continuing education courses annually.

Dr. Anisha Patel
Dr. Patel is a native to Georgia. She attended undergrad at the University of Georgia where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with Honors earning a B.S. degree in Microbiology in 2014. Dr. Patel completed her optometry degree at the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee, where she graduated Cum Laude in 2018. She was a member of Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Honors Society while attending SCO.
On her externships during her final year as a student, Dr. Patel was a co-author of a study that showed how omega-3 fish oil and maqui berry extracts improve dry eye related symptoms. |
Dr. Patel’s interests include cheering on the UGA Bulldogs with her friends, working out, spending time with family, traveling, cooking new recipes, and volunteering in the community.
Through her extensive training, Dr. Patel practices full scope optometry including the treatment and management of primary care, contact lenses, dry eyes and ocular disease. Some ocular diseases include, glaucoma, macular degeneration, and retinopathy due to diabetes or hypertension. She looks forward in treating each and everyone of her patients with the utmost individualized care.
