Dr. Amy R. Jeffries Dr. Amy Jeffries is a 2000 graduate of Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. She finished her BS degree in Biology/Pre-medicine from Georgia Southern University in 1995. Dr. Jeffries practices primary care optometry which includes the diagnosis and management of eye diseases such as glaucoma, macula degeneration, cataracts, and retinopathy due to diabetes and hypertension. Dr. Jeffries also co-manages LASIK and cataract patients with ophthalmologists. She has 21 years experience in the optical industry having previously managed an optical practice and operated an optical laboratory prior to finishing her optometric degree. Dr. Jeffries is a skill refractionist and contact lens specialist. Dr. Jeffries maintains her degree by completing a minimum of 18 hours of continuing education courses annually.

Dee Dee, Office Manager Dee Dee has been promoted from optometric technician to the position of office manager.  She has shown outstanding customer service skills and is very helpful with the staff.  If you have any questions or concerns, please ask Dee Dee for assistance.

Sandra, Senior Optician Sandra is ABO certified with 10 years of optical experience working with both optometrists and opthalmologists.  Prior to working in the optical field, she obtained a Bachelor's degree in Business. Jennifer, Lab Manager Jennifer has been in optical for 15 years, 10 years at this location. She is in charge of all aspects of eyewear production from grinding and cutting lenses to adjusting frames. She ensures that all glasses dispensed from our lab meet the highest of standards.

Lauren, Accounts Manager Lauren handles billing inquiries as well as assists Kayla in filing insurance claims.  She manages patient's accounts too.  If you have any billing questions or need help understanding your insurance coverage, Lauren is the person to ask.

Traci, Optometric Technician Traci has years of experience as an optometric technician and recently received her ABO certification.  She understands all aspects of patient care and works closely with Dr. Jeffries in preparing patients for their visit with the doctor.  She has a great work ethic and always gives 100%.

Bernie, Senior Optician Bernie has been a liscensed optician for over 29 years working in various optometric settings.  She has a vast understanding of lens options and is great at helping patients choose the proper frame to fit their face.  Ask for Bernie if you want a kind person to help you choose the right glasses for your needs.

Kayla, Insurance Filer Kayla manages our insurance billing and coding department.  She received her education in electronic claims processing at Connect One Medical Billing Services.  She is proficient at electronic claims processing and is a vital part of Jeffries Eye Care.  If you have any questions about how your particular insurance plan works, please ask for Kayla.

Barbara, Receptionist Barbara is one of our newest editions to Jeffries Eye Care.  We found that we really needed a dedicated receptionist to help with patient check-in and answering phone calls.  If you need an appointment, chances are good that Barbara will be the person scheduling your appointment.

Caitlyn, Optometric Technician Caitlyn is another new addition to our Jeffries Eye Care family.  She is great at getting patients pre-tested prior to their exams and also running our glaucoma tests.  She is very sweet and has learned her job quickly.

Anthony, Lab Associate Anthony has many years of lab experience and has really helped with our lab efficiency.  He is also our go-to person for frame adjustments and repairs.  Anthony has been a great asset to the practice and assists Jennifer is making sure the lab jobs are done correctly and promptly.

Kathy, Optometric Technician Kathy had worked in the optometric field since the early 1990's.  She has a great understanding of all aspects of patient care from screening patients prior to their exams to helping them purchase the right pair of glasses.  Her primary job is preparing patients for their examinations and assisting Dr. Jeffries with contact lens insertion and removal training for the patients.  She is our always smiling "Energizer Bunny".
